For fun I looked for old family photos taken on this day in history. I thought the photos below of my great-aunt Lillian Lineberry née Gerik were pretty cool and they were dated, making them even better.
On July 4, 1942 my great-aunt Lillian participated in a Beauty Pageant in Galax, Virginia. She’s sitting on a float that says “Woman’s Club”.
