Seeing my paternal great grandmother’s photos through the years is fascinating to me. Ella Brown nee Reddick knew me but I have no recollection of her since I wasn’t quite 2 years old when she died.
Throughout family photo albums are photos of her later years. Recently, one of my Dad’s cousins was helping me identify some photos and he was able to instantly recognize the much younger Ella. Facing the changes in her through the years was easier for me once I put the photos in chronological order.

That really is helpful to follow the changes and be able to agree that the first and the last are the same person.

Not sure I would have recognized Grandma in the first four photos. I remember her looking like #6 & #8. Wayne & I were never real close to Grandma Brown. She was always nice, however seemed to like our cousins much better.

She looks like a pretty young woman and I can see similarity to Pearl’s younger photos as well. Since Ella lived nearer to you than Maude did it seems you would have been closer to her.
